Front Yard

The more I looked, the more I saw this afternoon in our Front Yard. A young male Red-throated Hummer, watched me from a convenient perch. And in the *extras... I watched this Paper Wasp nest for over an hour. At first they were totally 'on guard' and three of them didn't take their eyes off me for a long time. Finally they went about their wasp business and paid me little attention. I was using a 100mm macro lens and they allowed me to get very close to the nest, once they were relatively sure that I had only the best of intentions toward them.
