Jamie's Italy

With good friends for lunch at The Cricketers, Clavering. One of my favourite pub restaurants. It's got all the olde worlde low beams which caught me on the way in and again on the way out. It's OK though 'cos they are covered with padding so its a gentle reminder rather than a knockout punch. This is a still a proper pub welcoming cyclists at the bar buying their mid ride refreshments.

It was Jamie Oliver's family pub where he grew up and learnt his trade and it's still in the family. The latest Jamie merchandise is there to tempt you on the way out. I kept changing my mind with the menu choices. You could have chosen anything for me and I would have been happy. A great way to enjoy Sunday lunch.
