Vertical City

Hong Kong has been changing rapidly, properties are growing fast and apparently it has more skyscrapers above 150m than any other city. Rents are one of the most expensive in the world because of the lack of available land. Most of the flats are very small size. Photographer Michael Wolf has done a project on HK high-density housing. His photos might look a bit scary and it certainly captures my first impression when I was driving from the airport - a vertical city full of soulless apartment blocks. Though this is only one face of the town.

We have 3 construction sites in our neighborhood which causes big sound pollution. Moving somewhere else doesn't necessarily help, you're likely to end up by another building site.

I hope one gets used to the noise. Or maybe not.
