Gemma’s flowers

I am getting the benefit of these beautiful flowers which were bought for our niece (& bridesmaid!) Gemma on her last day at work in Hitchin on Friday. She now has 3 weeks away with her family, so instead of leaving them at home to wither and die, she brought them with her. I will enjoy them on her behalf. In September she begins a new job as the manager of the Bishops Stortford branch of Joules. Clever girl!

I feel extremely tired today. The result of very late nights, lots of driving and socialising at the weekend, plus a full day of housework yesterday. I sat and read my book at lunchtime and almost fell asleep. Left at 4.30 and got home to find Mollie had done all the jobs. Dan has gone out to the gym, we’re cooking dinner so he can wash up later!

Tomorrow we are going to a funeral sadly, so I will be picking up Jon late morning, from his camp to drive down to Hoddesdon.
