Another shorts day!

There have been a few cooler days recently, but it's back to sunshine today.  Spent most of the day in the garden, cutting things back and tidying up and weeding.  Mowed the grass out the front too.

We are a mid terrace house, so this is the right of access from next door, through our garden and then through the garden on our other side round to the road and the shore.  If we block it we are supposed to give three days notice and provide our neighbours with an alternative route! 

When we moved in, in order to give us a bit of privacy, Mike built a pergola over it and we have grown hydrangea petiolaris, honeysuckles and a climbing rose (Wedding Day) over it.  This little pink rose I planted on the field side is going great guns this year, and it's the perfect place for an old dog to lie in the shade!
