Moorchicks

Ollie and I walked around Seventy Acres Lake today. She loved paddling and spuffling in the pool by Cheshunt lock and watching a narrowboat full of excited children negotiating it.

She had a drink at another spot, toppled into the water and panicked. I had to hoick her out. I and my camera got soaked but she soon got over it and was wagging again. :)

I haven't been out and about much recently owing to the hot weather so have missed seeing the young waterfowl. I was therefore delighted to spot this pair of moorhen chicks.
