Fishing
Just a bit of stone to some but the history is ingrained in my memory after years of field trip tours with lovely 1st year biology students (bless them all!) around Tentsmuir point in Fife. It dates back to 1794 & marks a fishing boundary. Interestingly all those years ago it would have been in the shore line but today stands about half - one mile inland as sand blowing up from the Fife sand banks has effectively made the beach grow out the way. End of history lesson!
