For those who don't know, this is a Morris 8.

My dad had one of these in the 1950's and it was the first car that I ever sat in. It was reputed to be so under-powered that if somebody tossed a penny into the road, and a Morris 8 had to drive over it, the driver would need to drop a gear to achieve it!

I recall my dad sitting me on his knee when I was eleven years old and letting me steer the car the full two miles to my school while he operated the foot pedals. Could you ever imagine that happening nowadays?!
