A Light Perch
The day started with a trip to the mechanics to get the planned repair of the little car done.
Then a few hours on the square with our socialist party, discussing politics with passers-by, and with members of the other political parties, who had set up stall near us. We even gave coffee, tea and biscuits to members of the Green Party who were building their stand right next to us. They are very nice people, and our parties have large areas of agreement.
The seagulls on the square seem to be politically neutral, leaving their droppings on all stalls and eating crumbs from any group.
This slightly bedraggled example seemed to have just abandoned its young one, which was mewling piteously nearby. Young one was at least as big as the parent, who I reckon had decided it was time young one took the next steps into independence.
