I haven't seen much heather this year so thought I'd do a walk I did about a  year ago from Lanthwaite Green along Gasgale Gill when the place was awash with heather in bloom in glorious sunshine.  Not so much this year, probably because of lack of rain.  A lot has died and some has already bloomed.  Still lots in flower though.  A very dull and dismal day, lots of drizzle and mist on the fell tops.
