Favourite tree

This is what ‘Oakleigh” looks like in drought conditions. The tree is my favourite because it is so good to paint.

Crikey and I went up yesterday to pray for rain. Crikey has been blessed by the Bishop at a blessing of the pets day at church, so he should have some influence.

The tree is in the way of the big machinery they use these days and I might have to chain myself to it.

Artist Hans Heysen used to buy trees from the landowners so he could paint them.
