Up the junction
I changed trains at Clapham Junction station on my way to a fascinating seminar about violent crime and serious youth violence.
The keynote speaker was an incredible chap who after a difficult start in life ended up involved in gangs in Manchester; he was shot on several occasions, stabbed and spent 12 years in 19 different prisons.
After the last stint, and with support from services and his family he has moved away from a violent life and now spends his time working with young people who may be at risk from gangs and exploitation. He has reached out to over 50,000 youngsters across the UK - inspirational.
