Today was the day

I set off two hours later than I had planned and decided to come up the A1M as the M6 roadworks have been causing havoc. The journey was going well until the A66 was closed in front of me. We were filtered off the road and through a small village then the traffic stopped. We were 16 miles from getting on to the M6. It took me two hours to rejoin the M6 in the end. All the roads were blocked or closed which was a nightmare!!  I eventually drive 20 minutes south to get into the M6 before the trouble spot. 12 hours later I’m here and going to bed.  The only good thing about being stuck were the views. This area is beautiful when there is weather!!
