Stress and Bunting
It’s been a busy and at times stressful day.
We headed into Edinburgh for school shoe shopping (quite easy), school trouser shopping (very stressful), shopping for other bits and pieces (moderately stressful), dental check-ups (stress free), lunch, a wander around the book festival and the west end craft fair, where my bank card was declined (more stress), a quick visit to the bank to check up on this – thankfully there was no problem with my card it was probably the vendors card machine, a wander along Princes Street where we watched Rag ‘n’ Bone Man doing a sound check in the gardens (a bonus – see extra) and then missed our train home (more stress).
Once home BB declared he would do some cello practice (another bonus), I then took him to football training, only to find there was no one there. BB suggested that it was at the grass pitches, but there was no one there either. I then checked my phone to find that a message from football had not downloaded. It turned out there was a game tonight instead of training, at another location where I didn’t even know there was a football pitch. We were both very stressed when we eventually found the pitch and the team. By this time BB was half an hour late for the pre-match training, but still there fifteen minutes before the match started. I had to apologise to the coach (who wasn’t best pleased). BB got a game (even though he was in training gear, not his match strip). That stress just rounded off my day. I was so glad to get home. Tomorrow is another day.
This bunting brightened up the West Wend Craft Fair on a grey and damp day in Edinburgh.
I'm miles behind with blip at the moment. I will try to catch up soon.
