Submarine Tonijn
Today we visited the marine museum in Den Helder.
The main attraction is the submarine "Tonijn".
The "Tonijn" is a three-cylinder submarine. It was active between 1960 and 1992 and is in an original state open to the public.
On board were several former crew members, who told us very lively about the live on baord and under water. It must have been extremely exhausting and tight. They were with 65 crew members in a depth of 400ft for 14 days - without a douche :-/
... nothing for claustrophobic people!
T. was very happy, that she was brave enough to climb into the submarine and to explore it. We weren't sure if that would be able, but everybody was very patient.
In the first extra you can find a creative "wall of shame", which we found later at the beach of Petten. They collected the rubish on a 8 km long beach and created inventive pieces of art to blame the pollution.
Back home we were offered a wonderful sunset directly behind our vacation home. You find it in the second extra :-)
I tagged this to Tiny Tuesday, because my tiny Hanulli is looking at this giant submarine :-)
Reminder:
The tag for Tiny People Sunday/ month in the whole August is TiPS24 or TiPSAugust18.
You can make as many entries as you like. I'm looking forward to many creative enties of the adventures of all sorts of tiny figures. Have fun!
