Benka box

This was all a bit weird. The restaurant is called Benka, and is described as a Japanese restaurant. My meal did come in a kind of Bento Box, so ... so far, so good. But as I entered I was greeted by Chinese speakers, three of them, who didn't have a word of English between them. The menu was in Chinese too, with no English version and I was reduced to pointing to pictures, not a problem. One of the items in my tray (bottom right) was [cold] kimchi, more Korean, I think. The chicken and chopped chillies were hot, in both senses of the word: the bean sprouts were cold. The rice was hot and delicious.  I asked for water, and it came in a beer tankard. All a bit surreal, but all in all a great meal.
