Poorhouse

The custodian returned from his abbey and we had a couple of pints followed by a fish supper. While we waited for the fish to be cooked (gosh, it was good) we looked at the big old map of Leith that the chippie has as wall decoration - can't see a date on it, but I'd guess mid-19th century. Railways all in place, Hawkhill Recreation Grounds pre-Hibs stadium, and the Leith Poorhouse which eventually became the Eastern General hospital.
