upcycle project 2

Using some leftover paint and wax from my previous project, I've done this.

In its original state it cost £10 which was, upon close inspection, much more money than this is worth! It may not show, but this has been home made (I imagine quite a long time a go) by an amateur carpenter, using very cheap bits of wood, it has a fair bit of damage and has clearly been in someone's shed or garage for a long time. Needed a lot of TLC to get it into shape. The painted top and sides cover a multitude of sins - stains so deep that they couldn't be easily sanded out, etc. So, not quite what I originally imagined this would look like, but I think it works. Going to use it to store craft bits and bobs in, so it will definitely be useful, and much better that than going in a skip!
