Royal Velours

This morning I went to a watercolour workshop which was experimenting with different techniques. I must find the time to do some painting and use the ideas, I don't feel inspired in summer when there are outdoor things to do.

The photo is of one of the blooms of my clematis "Royal Velours". It usually has a lot more flowers and foliage but I assume that the hot dry weather hasn't suited it.
