Acorn Bank Watermill

Today it was a trip to Acorn Bank Nation Trust house and gardens.  Mrs W had the loan of their “Tramper” – a rough terrain mobility scooter.
 
The watermill is way down the hill on rough footpaths, but we made it ok.
 
This shot is of the remaining waterwheel.  The mill originally had three wheels, one after the other in the space you can see.  Just this side of the currently restored and working wheel you can see that they are currently re-building the second wheel – well they have one spoke attached anyway.
