Cue for a song!

I certainly didn't expect to find any Edelweiss growing at this time of year but while I was walking round the circular route to the summit of The Stanserhorn I spotted this little clump .... a first for me.

Continuing my walk I felt that I should be singing 'The Happy Wanderer' .... only those of a certain age will remember that song ..... I was certainly walking along a mountain track.

I spotted the butterfly and fortunately for me it came to rest albeit briefly. A bit of Google research and I think it's a Scotch Angus .... a good name for a butterfly!
