Sooo Frustrating

At Leatherhead station, to get from the downside track to the upside (and vice versa) there is a tunnel under the tracks. The only other way round is a diversion  of about 300 yards (OK - so actually I dont know exactly how far, but next time I will measure it in steps and let you know). This tunnel has been shut since last Friday 10th August. There is some problem and I am told that Network Rail are in charge of getting it sorted. So far they have taken photos (wow) but no work. No one has the faintest idea when work will start or finish or when it will reopen. It is not the fault of any of the beleaguered station staff. But there is no information and no one is prepared to take responsibility.  All normal then.
