Raindrops keep falling on my head...

When I woke up to the sound of heavy rain falling, my heart sank.  When I got up and passed the open bedroom window I could smell the refreshing scent that always accompanies summer rain and my mood lifted again.

David headed off to meet up with Kenny, Keith and Alan.  They were playing golf at Dunbar.  Their tee off time was 2.00pm and just as they were due to head out to the first tee, the rain cleared and they had a lovely run weather wise.

Meanwhile my friend Janice picked me up just after 1pm and we headed to Gloagburn to meet up and have lunch with our friend Fiona.  It was still raining here and it felt really odd to be wearing a rainproof jacket to go out.  I think it's the first time I have worn it since the end of April.  That must be some kind of record for me!

We had a lovely lunch and a great time catching up.  Janice dropped me off again just after 5pm!

David didn't get home till 8pm but he was in a jolly mood as Keith and him had won the round.  Happy Days!  :-))
