Abstract Thursday: Repetition

I was pondering what to photograph for Ingeborg's Abstract Thursday challenge on "repetition" today, when I happened to walk past our landing window during one of the (brief!) sunny periods we've had today. The ripples in the window glass were making rather lovely patterns on the windowsill, which were repetitive although each repetition wasn't quite identical to the next one. I thought this made it more interesting than if they'd all been exactly the same.

So I grabbed the camera and captured my shot before the sun went in again. After a bit of faffing, this is the result - with a little added texture (from the red velvet I used as a background for Tuesday's Tiny shot of a cat badge) for good measure.

It looks best large.
