Jon's Finger

Jon (Kate's brother; my brother-in-law) woke up this morning with a mysterious blue and swollen finger.
A trip to A&E was in order, where they proceeded to cut his wedding ring off with a "mini angle grinder" - which apparently gets so hot it burns your finger. The forceps they used next also slipped off the ring and clamped onto his injured finger, just to add to the misery.

Not good timing - it's his 25th Wedding Anniversary in two weeks.

However, he did cook a delicious fish pie for dinner, which we were kindly invited over to share.
