BlipaEwan 57...

This is my monthly track of my children as they grow to see how they change as time goes by. I take the same photo in the same place each 1st and 15th of each month along with a wee diary of what has happened and how life has progressed for each of them. Bethany on the 1st and Ewan on the 15th. It is quite remarkable and is accentuated by the 1 year ago thumbnail down in the bottom right.

Ewan is starting to read. He gets books home from school which we use for bedtime stories. We're at the book stage of not much more than two word sentences per page. I tried to go to shared start at the beginning of this term but they had a flash of assembly. Luckily, his teacher said I could join them and I went on to stay with them for the first half hour or so.

The school had their parents evening this month as well. Ewan is doing really good but his hand writing isn't brilliant which as the teacher says, he does need for recording things. She says he doesn't seem to have very good strength in his fingers and pencil grip so she suggested finger dexterity exercises such as playing with plasticine. She also gave us a wee work book that has we patterns and shape for him to follow to strengthen his writing grip.
