Sunflowers
We usually buy some flowers to give to the father-in-law when we see him and today we couldn't resist these sunflowers. £3 a bunch from a well known supermarket near you! They made a change, though you needed a small chainsaw to cut through the stalks!
We had an interesting day, including a review meeting with his dementia consultant. She has changed his medication, and he now has two tablets to take, one after lunch and one at bedtime. It's sad how necessary changes like this create so much utter confusion for him. On the plus side he told her that since he has been taking the initial medication his eyesight has improved so much that it is now better than when he was 19 years old. It's so good now that not only can he see the houses across the road, he can even see the mortar between the bricks!
