Beer floating

I attended for my first time the annual Kaljakellunta (Beerfloating) at Vantaanjoki. I left home past 10 am. Had inflated my boat and was in the water at about 11 as I wanted to avoid the large crowd. River Vantaa flows very slowly so actually had to do quite a lot of rowing, especially later when the wind was pushing me back to the direction where I came from.  

Later I joined my colleague, her boyfriend and a few friends of theirs. There was still a couple of kilometres left. Kilometres that included beer drinking and a lot of rowing. It was fun.
