On Cue
Today, my mycological journal arrived. Even though Carol and I found hardly anything yesterday, it feels as if we are on the cusp of the fungus season - perhaps because it is cooler and damper than it has been for ages. Carol is in a different league to me. This journal contains an article by her about her find which is a new British record - a truffle-like species. Carol is an acknowledged expert on these fungi. We met many years ago on a fungi course, and for Carol, studying fungi became a way of life whilst for me, it was always just a hobby.
