France 2018: day 1

I couldn’t choose just one photo so I made a little collage.
We were up at 4am and out of the house by 5. Made our way down to the Eurostar and over to Calais by 8 o’clock then down to Paris where we checked into our hotel just after 1 o’clock ( French time).
We had an afternoon wandering around the streets of Paris. D, Poppy, Alfie and Lois went up the Eiffel Tower while Heidi and I had a drink back down on the ground.

This evening we ate at a restaurant near our hotel then window shopped along the Champs-Élysées.
We’re all exhausted after such a long day and so much walking. Looking forward to more sightseeing tomorrow and it’s D’s big birthday so hopefully it will be a really special day.
