North Berwick harbour area, with a wind surfing competition about to get underway. The Bass Rock in the background. Note that the upper parts were all covered in vegetation back when this was taken. That would change within the space of a few years, after someone (presumably intentionally) set all the whins that were growing there on fire. Once they were killed off, the birds started nesting in this area too, instead of just the white, guano covered/coloured, cliffs.
The fantastic view was something I was amazed to gain, for the few years I lived in this flat, with my parents and younger brother.

Extras - I went to have a look at the windsurfers' boards, as they were something of a novelty... way back when this photo was taken.
