The holidays are coming...

Woooooooooooo hoooooo! Great nights sleep, at last. Despite waking up at 3.20am briefly I rate it as a 9.5/10 sleep! Must've been the whisky that I didn't finish!

Energised even more after porridge, I'm up and at em! Traffic
rather rubbish going into work, maybe due to the fog this morning.

Good morning at work, and then off to meet Triv and her mum at lunch. They've been Christmas shopping all day! I'm impressed by their organisation! We had lovely lunch at delilahs in town, v busy but nice food. Walked back across the square and v excited to see all the Christmas market huts being put up.

On Monday as I was on a call at work I noticed a huge Christmas tree travelling horizontally down maid Marian way. It's destination being the square. And now here it was.... Can't wait to be having mulled wine and pork cob with the team at lunch.

Back to work. Good afternoon too, couple of calls with the team. Today's been a great day in the office.

Home and rubbish queuing traffic. I try to swerve it, weaving from bobbers mill (which is clogged) back to hyson green. Did my backstreet route and somehow ended up with ash driving behind me!!

Quick stop at shop and then home. Got family and friends visiting to tonight in lieu of my birthday tomorrow. I leave the bottle of prossecco outside to chill in anticipation.

Lovely evening with mum, li, rene (poured her a huge brandy!), Sil and sal.

Off to bed now and I'm sure i will not feel a year older in 40 minutes!!
