Harvest

Started picking damsons today - got several kilos, and still lots to ripen. I can’t remember the tree ever having so many fruits. Lots of apples on the adjacent tree, but not quite ready for picking yet. Not quite sure how I am going to reach the higher branches. The trees really need to come out as the roots are raising the pathway behind them. Perhaps we should cut them down and then strip the branches of fruit?! Would have been my 39th wedding anniversary today, so at least this stopped my thoughts wandering. I also got lots of tiny spiders dropping down on me - yuck!
