Cougar
To make their promotion to the North West Counties League viable Steeton AFC are ground sharing with Keighley Cougars RLFC at Cougar Park. Today was their first home league game at the new venue.
The visitors were AFC Blackpool who play in the orange of their more famous namesakes. A fourth minute header from Steeton's Andrew Briggs was enough to secure their third win from four games; a very healthy start to life in the NWCFL.
Cougar Park displays its rugby league heritage with pride, but Steeton are showing that there's space for the 'dribbling code' too.
You'll find a few more of my photos from the day over on Twitter.
