The Church of St Casimir
This beautiful building was catching the evening light as we arrived at our hotel in the Old Town of Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania.
The day started with a few issues - a fire in the tunnel approaching Heathrow resulted in chaos. But we both got through, albeit after a few worries.
The huge and luxurious plane to Helsinki was wonderful. (Finnair are my new favourite airline)
The tiny plane to Vilnius was an experience. But the complimentary blueberry juice made it all worthwhile. There were only six planes in Vilnius International Airport and one of them was Ryanair and another Aeroflot !
Our hotel is opposite this stunning church. I’ll find out more when we have a walking tour of the city tomorrow. It was dreamlike as it caught the evening light.
We were so lucky with our meal - a restaurant dating back to the 14th Century - with a cellar like a medieval dungeon. Stunning wild boar !!
A Lithuanian vodka to complete the evening.
I love adventures..........
