Home!
I woke at 7. What’s that all about - a half hour lie in!!! So I got up and got on with things. I need to be on hand when doing my washing, in order to empty my waste water bucket after 30, 40 and 60 minutes. So I hovered around the garage, weeding and tidying so that I didn’t miss the critical time slot. Then at 9.20 I went in to Cromer, to take something back to the plumbing shop, then to the shops. I met Mollie at The Rocket cafe at 11. We had tea and croissants overlooking the sea. There were people swimming although it had clouded over. A bit more shop browsing, and we got home at 12. Daniel has gone to Cambridge on the motorbike today. I always worry but he has messaged to say he got there safely. He is home tomorrow.
Jon and Henry were home about 1. Can you believe they got this GOGoHares Norjam badge for doing some of the hare trail. I am soooooo jealous. (It might just get onto my camp blanket...which I am willing to share with him) We had lunch then Jon and I went into Sheringham to collect his new glasses. Of course we stopped for tea at the cafe Bom and GracieG recommended to me a while back. I can’t remember its name. The sun was hot and we sat outside enjoying our tea and the jazz they had playing inside.
Back home we moved the shed with the bikes in, away from the garage window. A temporary move while Jon works on the waste pipe for the toilet and washing machine. Identified a few more things to sell at a car boot and put them out the front for the time being. Our house/garage/garden is like a giant one of those little kids puzzles where you slide one letter across, then the next one down into its place, and so on. One day, I am determined there will be a place for everything, but we have a way to go yet.
A Morrison’s curry for tea, and a film, and that’s half the weekend gone already. Looking forward to a visit from our favourite Cambridge friends tomorrow.
