In the thick of it.

Having driven 4 hours yesterday to our family’s ski apartment in the mountains, we were hoping to get away from the wildfires. We now hear that there are about 500 fires burning in British Columbia and the neighbouring town has been evacuated. It’s just like a heavy fog and we heard today it is even worse in Calgary where we have come from. Unless we get some heavy rain, we are going to be stuck with this for the duration of our time here. Photography is very limited but we did catch this ground squirrel today. They make a high pitched whistle sound which the family’s dog catches on to.
