Today is my 4015th consecutive blip. In layman's terms, that's 11 years of blipping. I've thought about stopping many-a-time, and yet I'm still here, posting each and every day. Love lost and found. Heart broken and slowly mending as I miss my beautiful Cousteau. Tears and joy. It's a real mixed bag this life thing. Again, thanks goes to all of those who make this community so positive and encouraging; especially to those who do the behind the scenes stuff.
We've had all weather, apart from heat, today. Sunshine, rain, hail, snow, sleet, wind, rainbows. It's been a roller coaster, for sure.
Abe and I managed to sneak a quick walk in between downpours this morning, and then his sister came for a visit. She's very dominant and gave him a hard time. He seemed to enjoy it.
He got a snooze in and then off to what was left of the snow up on Mount Macedon. We found a part where no-one else was and enjoyed pootling around. Abe was quite taken by the snow. He tried eating it and didn't mind at all that it was a bit chilly on his tootsies.
Then back to Sunbury (where we watched a steam train come over the bridge)
I'm in my pjs at 5 pm, Mr B is watching TV, Little Miss is baking brownies and Abe is fast asleep in his crate. Nikau is outside exploring. He's been given a strict curfew by Little Miss, who hates him being outside after dark. Hopefully he'll have enough time to run off some of his energy before coming back in for his dinner.
These boots are a testament to our enjoyable walk together as a family. I love to see all the boots lined up after a walk; it reminds me of when I was young and we went walking with my parents and siblings, and somehow it is just very comforting. It seemed fitting for today's milestone.
See you tomorrow. 12 years, here we come.
