A centre-piece on the Supetar promenade...

... close to our hotel, is this striking rock. There is no explanation of its significance but this morning shot was the start of our walk, covering much the same route as I did yesterday, including the beach where I found the butterflies.

Today, equipped with the better lens,  we found several butterflies (see extras) a small one  camouflaged on the rocky beach, an open-winged shot of the swallowtail and another, as yet unidentified smaller specimen, probably a skipper.
