The iconic Swilcan (or Swilken?) Bridge.

There’s always debate about the spelling! Writings in the 1600s tend towards Swilcan and the St Andrews Links opt for the same on their maps, so I’ll do the same.
This iconic small stone bridge straddles the Swilcan (!) Burn which cuts through the 1st and 18th fairways of the Old Course. Many a champion or golfing legend has posed for a photo here. Queues of tourists often form on Sundays, when the Course is closed, to record their visit.
