The start of a Mini adventure

Today we walked 13 miles from Peebles to West Linton (leaving one car in WL and another at The Leadburn & catching a bus down the road). The first time the boys have been in Moss.

Saw thechimp having coffee (but no cake?!) at the start of our journey. We also met two couples (separately) both en route from
John o Groats to Lands End. Good chats with both - very inspirational - have been thinking a lot about doing a serious walking challenge since reading Cheryl Stray’s ‘Wild’ a few months ago - food for thought!

Got back to The Leadburn where we had planned supper to find it’s closed and they’ve now moved to The Horseshoe at Eddleston. Our next choice in Penicuik, the new ‘Old Mill’ is so new it’s not yet serving food so we ended up in the Craigiebield - our first time ever - no atmosphere but the food was ‘ok’. Good to get home.
