Lake of Menteith

 We took a  wee circular drive from the caravan site to Port of Menteith, Aberfoyle, part of the Queen Elizabeth natural park and the Lochside restaurant at Loch Vennachar where we were booked for lunch. Unfortunately an electrical fault put paid to our lunch date, but they did manage to supply awfully good coffee and cake so at least my fellow travellers had the chance to experience the lovely setting by the loch that I had visited with my cousin earlier in the summer. Later on a chipper tea in Bridge of Allan in another institution from my childhood, the Allan Water café. A fine day all round.
