Paris Gateau au Pomme

Six years of French and I'm struggling to translate 'Parisian apple cake'. So much for the Scottish school system and/or my brain. Mind you, the Paris bit just happens to be the cushion that the cake tray's been placed on. Could just as easily have well been 'Big Apple apple cake', that has a ring to it. Anyway, that's a small dent made in the basket of apples that V&B left us yesterday. More recipes are under review even as I type. Big sis is on the case!
