Shiny, Shimmering, Splendid 2
We made it to the service on time despite all the cyclists who seem to be on the route! It was great to meet up with our friends again. The service finished quite quickly, so we decided to go to Worthing for fish and chips while it was dry. (Torrential rain was forecast but it never happened.) There was, however, a very blustery wind at Worthing and it was a bit of a challenge holding on to one's food whilst trying to eat whilst sat on a bench! Bad hair day for everyone then!
Thankfully the sun came out and did its thing on the water. I've tried to capture it. We went to Sea Lane Cafe for an ice cream (as you do) and G managed to get some cool shots of the many kite surfers there (see extra). I guess a blustery wind is exactly what they needed.
The journey back was as good as the journey there. We didn't hang around too much! And lastly, we finally got to watch Darkest Hour courtesy of a DVD which was left in Church.
