Illuminate

As societies grow decadent, the language grows decadent, too. Words are used to disguise, not to illuminate.  Words can confuse, so that at election time people will vote against their own interests.
When Trump's team says things like, "Truth isn't truth" and "alternative facts" to justify his ineptitude, greed and misdirection, be wary.
