The Couple Who Went Out in the Cold.

Today must have been the coldest day of the year so far, but never daunted we set up for a stroll along the promenade. We were all wrapped up. at least three layers, gloves scarves, hats and snowsuits, fighting the freezing winds and the snow flurries.

Imagine my surprise when I spotted this couple getting their wedding pictures taken by the beach. The poor woman didn't even have a coat on but walked from her car to pose in the teeth of a freezing wind blowing from Siberia via the North sea.

After I had taken their photo an old gent stopped me,

" I hope she'll be fit enough for the honeymoon?
she'll probably come down with pneumonia before the nights out, poor lassie"

With that he doffed his astrakhan hat and strolled on.
