South Shields

After a smooth voyage across the North Sea we came into the Tyne as the sun was just getting through the cloud. The view of the breakwater at South Shields looked good in the morning light. We were one of the last vehicles off the ship and joined a big queue to get through immigration; we are a welcoming nation. The journey back to Edinburgh was pretty uneventful, but it was noticeable how impatient people are when driving compared to people on the continent. People here must be more stressed and that can’t be a good thing.
