Tribal Houses

It is that time of the year where our city (Davao) celebrates the abundance of fruit yield. We call it “Kadayawan”. Aside from having very cheap fruits being sold all month long, there are activities such as “Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan” (Street Dancing), “Pamulak sa Kadalanan” (Floral Parade) and many more! The blip today is just one of the many event highlights where traditional houses of different tribal groups are built in one of the popular parks in the city. Here, i had my photo taken with an Obu Manuvu wearing their tribal costume. The house behind us is mostly made of nipa for the roof and bamboo for the main body of the house.
