Monday: Kate Lays The Table

I left Vancouver this morning for the 4 1/2 hour flight to Ottawa. It's one of our regular leadership meetings so we're all congregating at my boss' house for a couple of days.

We had a barbecue as the weather was good. That said, it still came with white linen and place settings so was posher than any barbecue that I've been to. My boss likes to do little ice breakers so tonight's question was which two guests would you want to sit next to at a dinner party. I chose George Orwell and Ellen - bizarrely, my colleague from Calgary also had George Orwell, the only double pick of the evening. We also had to explain why but that's too lengthy for here.
