The Orchard

As we were packing up 'Matilda' for the journey home this morning the kind owners of our caravan site were picking a good crop of runner beans from their garden and said:  "Do help yourselves to anything in the orchard" which we did and have come home with a bag full of windfall apples and beautiful Victoria plumbs.  I forgot to ask what the net curtains hanging from the fruit trees were for, any suggestions?? We thought it was for shaking the trees for the fruit to fall into the nets or perhaps they're bird scarers??

We had a surprisingly good journey home up the M5 with only a bit of stop, start along the way - now for putting 'Matilda' to bed,  unpacking and a  rendezvous with the washing machine!
